Ernesettle Community School's experience as a National Support School and Aaron Meredith's National Leader of Education role demonstrated a strong and proven track record of supporting other schools and Trusts to improve outcomes for all children, strengthen leadership and enable long term, sustainable success.
We continue to work collaboratively with schools and Trusts facing challenge, drawing on our experience, expertise and proven practice. We have particular experience and expertise in supporting schools with high levels of disadvantage and those who find themselves in particularly difficult situations, such as Ofsted gradings of requiring Special Measures or Urgent Improvement.
Our approach is rooted in practical, sustainable school improvement. We understand the pressures schools face and tailor our support to meet the specific needs of each setting. The support we provide is flexible and shaped by the expertise of our staff and the level of development required. Alongside leading our own school, we work in partnership with others to build leadership capacity, raise standards and secure long-term improvement.
Our team includes highly experienced system, senior and middle leaders (many of which have been Specialist Leaders in Education), who work beyond our own setting to develop leadership capacity and strengthen classroom practice across the region.
This work centres on developing the capability of other leaders so they have the skills and confidence to lead their own teams and improve practice within their schools. Support may be delivered through one-to-one or group work and can include a range of activities, such as:
- data analysis
- Coaching
- facilitating and training
- joint action planning
